Iranian short film ‘Flying Fishes’ has been selected to compete at the 2019 Solidando Film Festival in Italy.
Directed by Mohammad Towrivarian, the short is about a teacher who is new to a village.
He notices that the only girl in his class does not talk and has cigarette burns on her skin.
The flick has participated at a number of international festivals and grabbed the Best Film award at the VKRATZE international film festival in Russia.
Established in 2004, the Solidando Film Festival is a no-profit international competitive festival of short films with a maximum length of 20 minutes that include the genres: documentary, fiction or animation exclusively on social themes.
The 2019 edition of the festival is slated for December 20-22.
